We started this project off bright and early in the day. The focus on this landscaping project was to remove enough limbs so that a truck can fit beneath the canopy. With instructions to not trim any limbs from other parts of the tree. Our landscapers removed enough for an 18-wheeler to fit. The tree is old, and very healthy! We loved coming back to see the bloom in spring.
Depending on the type of tree cutting before the wet spring season is typically best. There is an old saying about when is best to prune a tree: “When the farmers shears are sharp”. Meaning almost no matter when you prune a tree if done properly it will heal and grow to become stronger than before.
